Please join the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society for a lecture from Elder Paul Ritchie on Residential Schools and Healing.  This lecture is presented in partnership with Fort William First Nation.

This will be a in-person event that is free to view.  The lecture will be broadcast live via ZOOM for those who cannot attend in-person and recorded and posted to the Museum's YouTube at a later date.

Description:

Elder Paul Ritchie will be speaking on the history of Residential and Day Schools and their lasting impacts on all the peoples of Canada.  He will also be exploring the need for healing and how everyone, Indigenous peoples and settlers, can work together on reconciliation.  

Speaker Bio:

Elder Paul Ritchie is originally from Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation in Southern Ontario but now lives in the North and has been happily married to a Northern woman for the last 44 years.  Elder Paul Ritchie has been practicing traditional work for the last 50 years.
