MAKING PEACE
a mixed media art workshop
Making Peace is inspired from the current exhibition Art to Pass the Time: the Artwork of Prisoners of War; this interactive workshop will use a variety of materials to “make peace” through the merging of the past and present.
Join us Thurs. May 11, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for an evening of free flowing artistic creation.

Tickets are $40.00 non-member and $36.00 with a museum membership

Artist Biography
Leanna Marshall is of Anishinaabe and English descent. She was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario where she continues to reside. She is a band member of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug. She is the mother of two vibrant daughters. Leanna is a self-taught artist who tells stories of her ancestors and of the land through textile piece, performance art, and poetry. Leanna loves to harvest medicines, reading, and learning the Original language of her relatives, Anishnaabemowin. She uses opportunities to work with community to encourage connection and strengthen relationships with all of our relatives. Leanna is an art therapist and social worker in the community.
